This will be brief. There are e-mails that I received regarding subscription. I got 100+ e-mail subscriptions, more than the RSS.

In my own opinion, I got some reasons why you should also focus on offering e-mail subscription:

1. Email subscriptions increases the number of your subscribers. Whether it’s just 10 emails and 50 RSS readers, 10 is still a difference. You’ll obviously see my point when your subscribers grow to hundreds already.

2. [tag]RSS[/tag] is not everybody’s method. Really Simple Syndication, or RSS is not everyone’s method of reading articles.Do you know that 3% of adults and 6% of teens use RSS readers? How will you fill this gap? E-mail subscription.

3. [tag]Email subscription[/tag] gives you an opportunity to interact with readers. When people use RSS readers, they cannot people getting your feed through RSS, they do not reveal anything about themselves, well except the reader that they are using haha! On the other hand, email subscribers leaves something for you, their email! So while you should treat this information with privacy there are certain situations where you can maximize the use of having an e-mail list. For example, write a survey of what your readers want to read.
