Hello SEO students! Sorry, professor Jeff was busy last week SEoing Superbowl 43. Well who cares now, your teacher’s back!

I hope you guys are developing your habits as a typical money blogger to be successful. If you haven’t read the recent article on what are the habits of a successful blogger, read it now.

The reason why I mentioned Superbowl is because we are going to tackle about an information relevant to it. Current events such as annual football competition, big events, and hit movies are popular SEO target keywords. Why do you think this is?

1. People tend to collect advance information over the internet. Pretend that you are just an internet user and not an SEO user. If you find a popular topic of event interesting, you would obviously go to that search engine and research more about it, just to be able to know some pretty cool information in advance. For example, I was busy last week due to optimizing the keyword “Superbowl 43 XLIII”. I may not be in the top rank, but still, I’m at the first page.

2. Powerful keywords from the event are the SE “trend”. Like I said earlier, when you’ve heard about “Barack Obama’s Inauguration”, filipinos like me would try to look for “Charice Pempengco at Obama Pre-Inauguration Ball” over Google. From there, you target the correct keyword and optimize your page onpage and offpage.

3. SEOing keywords relevant to the topic gives you mass traffic. If you’re just a beginner like me, I would want to less care about my earnings and focus more on getting high traffic first. If you were able to optimize the current event SEO keyword well, having a high-rank page means more traffic to you. In my experience, after the Superbowl event, my ranks over Pinoy Top Blogs, BlogTopList, and other blog rank sites increased from 400+ to 20+! Imagine how traffic affects your site drastically by just using current events!

4. Money makers earns double or even more, their daily earnings. So if you are more focused of money earning online, go back to number 3. Why? Because more traffic means more tendency to have your ads clicked. In my own experience, I got 7X my daily AdSense earnings by optimizing Superbowl. Then back to normal. I know this need a lot of hardwork, but you will be rewarded well.
