Recover SWF from EXE Projector
I’ve been looking around the internet to check and see if it’s still possible to revert my flash file back from the .exe projector.
.Exe Projector files are useful especially when the computer where you want to play your flash file, doesn’t support the flash version that you used. Exe-ing it means it’s already an ready-to-run-application. Cool aight?
But it sucks when you want to post it over the internet and you lost the original .SWF file.
The solution? EXE2SWF!
EXE2SWF allows your flash animations fules or SWF to be extracted from the projector executable files. With this way, people can send their Flash movies to their friends so that they can watch them perfectly, even when they don’t have a Flash standalong player in their computer.
Although this is a very powerful feature, it has a few disadvantages howerer. Because a lot of people hesitate to open executable files they receive from their friends by e-mail because that ‘cool animation’ could also be a virus or worse, a trojan (Speaking of trojan, my PC got infectted recently. I’ll tell the story next time!).
EXE2SWF is a program which converts Flash self-playing projector executables back to .SWF files so that they can be safely viewed and so that you can also send the Flash movie to friends who don’t have a Windows system and therefore aren’t able to execute .EXE files.
I got the file from NorthCode so the credits goes to them. I just used this program to convert my first flash file post in the next few hours. Watch out for Tagalog Kikia!
