SEO Journey | OnPage Optimization
How’s your blog doing? Are you promoting your site already? You could have hit those friends with messages on email, Friendster, MySpace, etc. Good for you. But what’s your primary target? Earn money from blogging. Have this reality check right away so you won’t expect too much from the start. You need hundreds or thousands of visitors to stop by your site per day and make them click your ads from a relevant topic.
I hope I don’t make you despair. You really need a lot of patience and motivation in this particular field and you need to exercise that virtue for the next couple of months to keep you going. Everybody has to go through the same exact aggravating pain of waiting. Ask those successful bloggers around, they’ll probably tell you the same thing I told you. Tiis lang pare.

See? Lolz! Okay enough for that. Let’s move on and learn the SEO heads up! For the 3rd time, the steps you’re going to read about is based on my actual experience with SEO. You won’t be able to follow through the steps if you didn’t get past SEO Journey | Blog Set-Up. Or say, this is not gonna bring you anywhere if you don’t have a full-of-content blog. Kaya balik dun pag di nyo pa nagagawa! =P
The heads up that I’m talking about is the Onpage Optimization. What is onpage optimization? It’s simple, onpage deals with how you format your page, including the keywords, font formatting, basically just everything within your page. Offpage is simply the reverse, which means we’ll deal with your site versus the relevant websites over the internet. Di mo pa rin maintindihan? OnPage ang NFA Rice at Offpage ang lahat ng bigas sa buong mundo. Now you know why onpage is a heads up? Of course you do. Mahal na bigas ngayon wag sayagin. =P
Let’s start:
1. Choose a “money making” blog title. Don’t consider a blog named “My Blog” a blog for revenues. “I love this blog”, “Welcome to my online pad!”, “Hi Teh!” are also bad examples. Think of a very heavy keyword that others may not have. You could at least include your important keywords to get to that top search. And oh, you may ask me why some “already popular” bloggers have incompetitive blog titles. My answer? This is a 1/100 help. You may think it’s not that important, but for starters, it is.. baka naman Yahoo! ang example mo. (Unless you’re talking about Yahoo!) -.-
2. Don’t make OA blog titles. I love you my site Christina Aguilera Mahal Kita Laguna Virus. Wow. Just wow. The less keyword you use, the higher impact/value your keywords are to the search engines. Take note of that.
3. Tags plays an important key to SEO. Do you know something about h1? h2? Those are headers. In my case, blogger, h1 is automatically the post title. In short, when you post post titles, make sure you use your target keywords for optimization. But never ever OA on it as well. Wanna know how furious these tags are? Pretty simple, post “Blog Marketing Blog Marketing Blog Marketing Blog Marketing Blog Marketing” on your blog and you lose the Google PageRank. (We’ll tackle about GPR soon
)
4. Font formatting is essential as well. Are you aware that making the fonts bold, underlined, or italicized makes the formatted text a mere heavy keyword? Don’t just rejoice by making the entire post in BOLD. Once your favorite search engine (in my part, Google) catches you, you’re fired.
5. Image Alt-ing is a plus. When you put an alternate text (the text that appears when you hover your mouse pointer to the image) using your important keywords, SE’s find it an important phrase. But then again, don’t spam the ability to alt. Don’t blame me if you get banned and thought you wasted your time reading on my article just for that. I already warned you right?
6. Let your SE scan through your most important keywords first. As many of the Ad friendly blogs, you’ll observe there’s not much sidebars on the left part of their site. The logic is, SE’s scans on your site from top left to bottom right! Don’t let the links on your left sidebar outcast your abra-kadabra words in the content.
So there you go folks! I should congratulate you again if you were able to pass this stage. Naalala mo pa si NFA at si Sinandomeng ha? (You still remember NFA and Sinandomeng aight?) Don’t forget that. Again this is just the beginning. I would like to keep telling you. This is what I personally did. If you have anything to share, any violent reactions, or just wanna smile with me, hit me up!Take a rest for now and get ready for my next topic and the most challenging part: SEO Journey | OffPage Optimization
